Make Your Business Card Social
Social Media is no joke, it’s been around for a few years now and everyone’s buzzing around on their mobile phones freaking out because there’s a new app. Since the beginning of the social media madness marketers have been trying to figure out how to work the ever important business card into the mix. “Do we use QR codes? Do we put a twitter bird on it? What about the ‘f’ logo? Is it going to change someday and then I’ll have to throw away the other 999 business cards?”. These are all questions that have been asked at some point or another in the last few years. The short of the long is No. You don’t have to put a QR, or a twitter bird or LinkedIn URL to increase the social media awareneness of your business card. “So how do I make this social media craziness work with my business card?” You ask..
The Long of the Short..
The fact of the matter is that social media is all about engaging, interaction and content sharing. Take a cool picture, with a funky angle and try a macro setting. “What am I going to do with a photo of my business card?” You ask.. Well there are number of things, sharing on Facebook is one of them, sharing on Twitter is another, and now Pinterest, but the REAL tip here is to find galleries to publish to and link those galleries up to Facebook and Twitter feeds to brag to all your friends once you get published.
